I'm excited for the company holiday party tomorrow; it should a lot of fun. I've organized a big group to meet an hour early at Hamilton's (craft beer bar nearby) to pre-game and maybe shoot some pool.
The event is at Alchemy; we rented the whole place out. There will be many courses, featuring a whole roast pig and The Butcher (Russ. Imperial Stout) ice cream floats, and 3 kegs on tap.
Last year was a complete ****show, with some people getting cut off, falling, etc. I don't think it will match that, but I'm ready to have some fun.

Today(well, yesterday, actually) I replaced a bottom bracket and installed a headset for the first time. Vintage frame with new parts - things don't necessarily go as smooth as you'd like. Got to use some really cool tools, though: bearing cup press and a BB tapping tool. Great learning experience for me!

Today I lost my license, one credit card and $20. Mad at myself for being careless resulting in going to the DMV on a Sat to get a replacement.

They have the whole series at my local library branch. I think I will go through them since this one is taking no time to finish.

I rode 21 miles on my geared bike before the cold rains started. I also ordered a couple of sweet looking chains for the fixie I am building.

I grit blasted the black anodizing off the stem and polished until the motor on the buffer overheated. I am about 75% done and my free stem will match the rest of the components.

I just returned from the Bike MS City to Shore VIP
fundraiser appreciation dinner at the Marriot in center city.
I was able to raise over $2100 this year
to help end MS by riding a fixie 100 miles in the City to Shore ride. In addition to raising enough money for VIP status I averaged 19+ mph on the ride.
This year set a record at over 6.5 million dollars raised. One
of the big benefactors of this money will be MS research. For
years the medical research has focused on the relapse-remitting
type of MS. There are now 12 drug therapies to help manage this
form of the disease. The MS society announced that they will be
focusing their funding on the progressive form of the disease,
which is the type Patti has. There are currently zero drugs
available to fight or manage this form.
I registered for next year's ride at the dinner. This year it
will be October 3-4 due to the Pope's visit to Philly. Today I
dropped off the frame for the fixed gear bike I am building at
the powder coater's. This bike is being built up in memory of my late son and I plan on riding it for the full 175 miles on the 2 day ride.

I finally got my hands on the *other* cannondale series 3.0 I'm looking for. It's mostly there but there's a few bits needed.
I don't think my giblets and teeth are ready.

I rode 37 miles including a lap around lake Nockamixon. The water was really flowing over the spillway due to the last two days of rain. I polished the scratches out of my free brake levers and they are now like mirrors.

I am in pain today, had a little fun in the mosh pit at Slipknot & Korn at the Izod Center in NJ last night.
