I can admit to coasting through some in residential areas if there is no one around... But I stop every time in commercial areas and absolutely if there is anyone else approaching the intersection, former to play by the rules and set a good example, and the latter for safety.
Also you're welcome SquidPuppet. Riders like me are making the world a safer place for you, one happy (or less pissed off) motorist at a time :) |

I googled that and came up with nothing too discrete. Can we get a link???

On 'Casual Fridays' today, two of my favorite co-workers and I wore nerdy Chemistry T-shirts (I'm on the left):
https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...81c67f1ceb.jpg This room (ICP mass spec room) is sort of my personal lair; you can tell b/c there is a bike stored in it :) Also I'm not that short (5'9") they're just tall |
^^^ Pretty cool, Monk. I like seeing what other forum members do when they're not riding bikes.
There's a gold fish, silver back, and yours looks like lots of rock band names substituted with elements. Chemistry nerds indeed. |

Today I was commuting and accidentally rolled onto a stone, it then shot sideways to a parked car. Felt bad for a few seconds.
* This applies if the stone is on the road surface. It's different if something flies out of a truck bed, or if a construction vehicle picks up debris from a job site, fails to get cleaned, and then starts flinging stuff from its tires or chassis. |

:innocent:
Meanwhile, in the past 27 years, Idaho motorists and police have grown to accept the legislation as sensible public policy, said Jason Meggs, a UC-Berkeley researcher who spent last summer crunching years of traffic data, conducting interviews and observing cyclist behavior in the state.Boise, home to Idaho's biggest bike population, "has actually become safer for bicyclists than other cities which don't have the law," Meggs said. |
Watched an RJ the Bike Guy video, in which he took over two minutes to utter 'go ahead'; some kind of record.

Today I noticed that Wabi jacked the price on Sub 15 wheelsets from $295 to $350.

Today I ordered another jar of Luxardo cherries, as I'm nearly out!

I had made a really good party punch that had Luxardo and I wish I could remember the recipe I came up with but as stated earlier it was a really good party punch. |
I tried Buttonhole chamois cream for the first time. Like Jack Frost nipping at your chode.

I actually considered the Golf R while picking my car.
Out of the Golf R, focus RS, civic type R, and STI, I went with the STI. The Golf R is not a bad car at all. Best interior out of the bunch. Most unassuming as well; with 2 small plain "R" badges on the front grille and rear hatch. But I found the driving experience a little too tame/ refined for my tastes in a fun car that I can beat on at the track. Aftermarket support is poor compared to the other 3 as well if you ever find yourself needing improvements. |

Haven't been around in a while so I'm just seeing this - I'm looking myself for the eventuality - but right now my #1 is a VW Golf Alltrack - the wagon. Did you investigate them at all? I know I can get a bike in the back - laying down, probably not standing up (with front wheel off) though that would be my preference.

Today I realized the turbo saddle decal/ logo is the same as the porsche 911 "turbo" emblem.
I feel that it took me way too long to realize that. It only took my father in law to temporarily mooch some garage space with his project car during his move for me to finally make the connection. https://i.imgur.com/IwJ40hf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9v07hgK.jpg |

My favorite, though, has always been the New Beetle owners who added the Porsche turbo badge. |
