Alcohol as a refreshment never made sense to me either. It doesn't refresh.

I drank booze for a purpose, to be affected. I could sit here and say I liked the flavor of a good whiskey. But that would be a lie.

I quit because it got in the way of more important stuff.

Always hated the taste of beer. All beers.

Did it break at the master link, or one of the regular links? Just curious, glad you're okay.

Yup. I prefer the unflavored variety, though.

I developed pain in my left knee after hammering a gravel ride last Friday evening. I rode to work today and it is somehow feeling better. Hoping the trend continues, I want to turn up the volume on training next week...

Yep. The "smart" link was nowhere to be found. Never in my 14 years of riding fixed have I popped a chain and I was only using SRAM to troubleshoot a noise. I'm never using a smart or quick link on this frame. This could have been much much worse for me or anybody around me if I did not retain control of the bike. I 've never Ted Shredded before. Never know what you are capable of in "holy ****" situations.

I made my boss order some Topo Chico for our shop (since we are the only ones in the company that sell food and beverage since we are in a different state) and he was initially hesitant but I said if they don't sell in a certain period I will buy them for myself. I keep trying other mineral waters and they are all inferior to Topo.

I was a La Croix fan. Then I tried Topo.

$0.72/bottle when purchased by the case from the Fixie Thruster store.

There is shelf dedicated in my fridge.

Yesterday I rode a brakeless bike with black tires, a bike with two brakes and gumwalls, drank Perrier with lime, and had Lagunitas IPAs. I am vast. I contain multitudes.

Come to think of it, a couple of my bikes have at times worn both a skinwall and blackwall tire due to circumstances. I was always too embarrassed to let those pictures be seen on BF, but I'm feeling more sanguine about it now.

I'm faiiiiiirly certain that I'm going to purchase a Wabi Classic soon with in Desert Turquoise color. I'll also want a wheelset built for it (prob TB-14's and some basic cartridge bearing hubs) and I have everything else that I need. The wheelset will need to wait a month (or two) but I can't stop thinking about that frameset...

I'm also going to run Panaracer Pasela's in 28c. With GUMWALL. They make those right???

Application will be fixed gear road bike. I already have a beater w risers and a track bike. Drops, dual brakes, fix/fix hub w 15 and 17t cogs. 42t ring.
