I sold my superb frame, the toe overlap was killing me.

Now in the market for a new frame I'm really leaning towards picking up a road frame and going the eccentric route. An eccentric bottom bracket adapter would mean not having to rebuild my rear wheel with a new hub, which would be great. I REALLY love my surly dingle cog, which is not compatible with the white industries eno hub since they use a stupid splined system that forces you to buy $40 cogs.

My main issue with all of these road frames is I know nothing about the bottom brackets. All of this outboard crap, BB30, BB90. The frame I was really looking at is the Scott Foil, which supposedly uses a INT Dura Ace SM-BB9141 according to https://www.scott-sports.com/global/e.../#.Ua1hjJxvzIc

Now I have found a few different eccentric adapters like here and here but I don't even know if either of those would work on the Scott foil frame, and then if they did wtf to do with a bb and crank. HALP!

looking at the info here it looks like the bb shell diameter is 41mm, which isn't BB30 or Press fit 30. So neither adapter works?

Dude. If you're shelling out the cash for something like a Scott, please don't convert it, especially into a fixed gear.

That being said, refer to what I just said - and I'm not trying to be a dick, honestly. Personal aesthetics and practicality are quite often on two different sides of the fence.

I'm on the other side of the fence. Do what you want. You obviously are trying to find the perfect bike. You like fixed gear, but not track geometry. An old converted road frame sounds perfect. You don't want an old bike.

BB9141 is the model of BB for the Dura Ace 9000 crankset. The "standard" BB size this frame uses seems to be BB86, which, like you said, has a 41mm ID and 86.5mm BB shell width. It accepts Shimano Hollowtech II and SRAM GXP cranksets. This is not BB30 compatible, so I don't imagine there is a BB eccentric which would work like you hope. Better hit up Calfee to put in a BB30 bottom bracket shell for you.

Because you can't spend money on a fixed gear bike? Because it's a terrible idea to have a top of the line frame that you can enjoy riding and not have gears on it? I just sold a $700 frame and have a bit saved up to top it off and get something nice. I work my a** off full time and save money so that I can have a couple nice things.

There isn't anything impractical about it either once the chain tension is worked out. In fact it is more practical than my track frame which has zero bottle mounts. I was dying between rest points doing a century in April because I had no water on me.

Why not get a fixie with roadie geometry? Some of those have water bottle mounts.

Find a frame you like with either a BB30 or a PF30 and get one of these eccentrics https://beercomponents.com/ . My teammate makes these and they are great. Made in CA to if that kind of thing matters to you.

There was a guy who converted a Scott before, but I think it was a cr1? He claimed it was something rediculus like 13-14 lbs I say do it.

Actually, regarding toe overlap on road bikes... I'm pretty dang sure of it. I have a CAAD10. When I get home, I'll hop on and let you know. I would figure that since we're talking about race bikes, the wheelbase would be a bit tighter.
As for converting a CAAD10 into a sweet fixie beast? Hmm. My friend converted his old CAAD7, and promptly stripped it. Didn't like the road manners, and the geo didn't conform to his body type right.

A better question is why a person who would purchase a high-end Carbon race frame for conversion purposes doesn't just get a custom frame built.
