My buddy Pete and I did the Frozen Snot Century last Friday, arriving in plenty of time to participate in a great CM ride/ art show. I was pretty tired by the time I hit the city, but the Friday afternoon traffic really seemed to give me a much needed boost of energy. Much different and more fun than the rural setting we had for most of the day. I was also pleased to meet Ryan-c and another person from these forums whose name I regretfully forget at the moment. That front hub is Nutrasweet! Some pics if anyone cares:

Pete's Schwinn was sporting different rims this trip, no stars cuz he was having bearing problems with those.

Nice to see you guys drop into Chicago.
Sorry efforts were not as coordinated as most - a bunch of us (skitbraviking, harlot, 165, stickerguy, keevohn, yuppie) were riding around this morning and either doing or documenting the Tour Da Chicago (photos soon). Nice photos though - nice to see your Surly in full.

Jason, it was great to meet you guys. If it hadn't been for that half-cog on your headtube, I don't think rusholme or I would have recognized your bike. When I'm in shape enough to make the ride up to Milwaukee I'll drop you a line. Too bad you weren't sticking around Chicago longer, next time, next time.

Absentr, Thanks. Catch ya next time, perhaps. I really didn't plan too well, spending the majority of my pre-ride planning time wondering if I was gonna make it or not.
Meeting Ryan and Rusholme was coincidental.
Ryan, Yeah, drop me a line when you wanna make the ride. I wish I coulda stayed in Chicago thru Sunday and attended TDC as well.I do come down fairly regularly for CM rides, though. I'll Pm ya next time I do. take care
