Prospective Boston snow biking

I'd be down if the snow had started a little earlier- but i've got to be in at work early tomorrow, and my legs are still pretty shot from the long ride on the fixie yesterday. Thus, hot chocolate and a beer and off to bed with me.

mmm hot chocolate.
maybe i'll just have some of that and watch the snow floating around under the streetlight. i wish i could go out tonight and call in tomorrow.
i guess that's what i get for working for a company that actually needs me.
pfth.
i'm jealous. your pictures make me think i should buy a mini digital camera that's safe to carry around during the day.

Hey, don't think I don't have to work. I've got a regular job too, I'm just making a sacrifice. Life's too short to be missing out on chances like this. Hey, where do you think I got that camera?

your going out for a midnight ride?
i'm debating either riding the bike, or going to hang out with the woman... haha
did you change your tires, or do you ride slicks in the snow? alls i got are the road tires on it now, so i guess that will have to do for the snow

Hope you guys got your meetup on. I got back about 30 minutes ago. Ridiculous. I've downloaded the photos, but I haven't looked at them yet to see if there's anything interesting.
Props to the prick desk worker at One Washington Mall who tried to tell me, "when they come they're gonna plow the sh** out of that bike," as I was kneeling next it taking pictures.
Sure pal, they're gonna come and plow exactly where they left all the snow the last time. And while they're at it are they going to take out the bench my bike is leaning on too? If you want me to get the F out of there why don't you say so? At least then we can start our conversation off on an honest basis.
Photos to follow.

good times, i just got back, me and alexi took the loop down huntington, around dartmouth and back up, its tough on road tires riding where the cars rode, best riding in the powder on the shoulders. other than the snow blowing in your eyes on the way down, it was a blast! sucks that both of us forgot our cameras though, it would have been a good time to document. maybe if it keeps up we can get something together tomorow too? i guess we'll just have to see what goes down...
PS: all the snow that built up on my bike, and especially in my cuffs was fun to throw at everyone back in the dorms when i returned, haha

wow, you really did go all over the place, sweet pictures, i like the flashlight rigging on the bike.
i learned the hard way not to let people borrow the "favorite bike", today was the first time back on it since i got it back, and i noticed one of the bar-end plugs is missing, as well as my taillight, and the back wheel is way outta true, which makes me the most angry... anyone know how much a wheel truing costs in boston? i would prefer to stay away from back bay bikes, i'm not too favorable of their service or atmosphere...

$20 is the going rate, but I would say go buy a spoke wrench for $8 and sit down and do it yourself. It's not hard. It'll take 30 minutes or so the first time and then you'll be able to do it in your sleep or half drunk.

well i just got back, it was fun 'cept for the super loose stem, every time i hit a little snow bank (the kind made by car wheels) my wheel and stem went opposite directions. Well gotta get up in 4 hours for work, if you guys are out during the day (before 2) stop by 165 newbury street for a free cup of coffee
