I thought the same at first, but I do believe it's important to see these pieces of history recorded for posterity and all that.

looks awsome, as mentioned above I too think it's impotant that old archived footage of classic events be peiced together to make a documentary for newer generations to see........ (even if it does take on that dog-town-z-boys aura of these guys thinking they invented extreme sports)...

they'd probably make one for inline skating as well if the interest was still there...its got history too but in recent years it seemed to fizzle out quite a bit

Bikes: a dozen or more at any given time. currently: pro concept pro, badd 24", hutch trickstar, looptail pk ripper, reynolds quad, 82 hutch pro racer, yamaha "a" model, matthews monoshock, and several more.
dogtown was about a group of dudes in one small area. joe kid is about the history of bmx. it was happening everywhere and joe kid tries to show this. bmxers were in the pools with the zboys all the while but stacey chose to leave them out of the film as if they did not exist. bmx has already been around for about 1/3 the life of the bicycle and it will be in the 2008 olympics. mark felt the story should be told.

I'm really looking forward to this movie, but the trailer makes it look like they copied Dog Town & Z-boys format super hard. Rad is quite possibly the best movie ever made (maybe not)

dogtown looked just like search for animal chin...
both were primarily shot by kids who didn't know what they were doing with a camera...
i'm still waiting for the trailer to load, but i'm assuming that will be the case here as well...
by the way complainers, popular culture just stole your bike... you have bigger things to whine about...

i was referring mostly to the look of the camera work, rather than the direction and editing, but, word...
also, after feeling like a total ****er becuse i couldn't think of the name of another movie, i have remembered and i am gonna tell everyone saying this movie is biting dogtown to watch this one: on any sunday 1971, motorcycles, and steve mcqueen... if you wanna say that somebody stole from dogtown, then dogtown stole from this... and this stole from endless summer... but the connections between dogtown and any sunday are way more obvious...
