Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I would take up to half of point 1 seriously and then follow the instructions on the spray can.

Hmm, listening to 1/6th of Scrod still puts you in dangerous territory.

Bikes: Surly Steamroller

You could also just strip the paint and go with the raw look and a layer of clear coat. No paint to touch up and easy rust removal.

If you're looking to stay ahead of the rust, check your steerer tube. After 20,000 miles of 4 season riding, mine is pretty rusty.

But, that bike is also getting re-built over the course of the next month. I'm thinking about stripping it for the winter and leaving the raw look for at least the winter commute season.
