Chicago bike spring break

My bike & I will be in Chicago all next week for spring break. I'll be at Tour da Chicago Stage 4 on Sunday, and if anyone is up for a ride during the week that would be awesome.

I'm down for that. I'm surprised they're not showing Quicksilver...

Triplets of Belleville would be nice...but all them politics - ouch. I prefer my sundays without politics or religion.

I could go for "A Sunday in Hell." The scene at the very beginning of tuning up the bike is great, along with the warm-up ride to the starting line.

Directed by the same Jorgen Leth of "The Five Obstructions" - Lars Von Trier's mentor.

Hmm, I just watched some of Breaking Away while on a trainer. Don't tell anyone.
I may or may not be at the tour. And I may be up for some riding during the week, although it would have to be in the evening. Is that sufficiently noncommittal?

Getting lost is half the fun! It will be my first experience of Chicago outside the bus station.

Bikes: unknown road conversion, half built Benotto track

That's all the experience I have had with Chicago and it was enough for me.

DCC movie party at my place. I may as well get this space well used since I'm moving out soon enough anyhow (into an even bigger apartment - loft style baby!) and my roommate will be in Poland. Who's up for next weekend?

I'll be back in yo hood next weekend (19-20) for more big city fixie excursions. Last time wasn't enough! And since it'll be the spring equinox I'll stuff my new phat piece of luggage with some real spring weather since y'all seem in need of some assistance.

Next Saturday I'm in.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure is the all-time bike movie. A boy. His bike (single speed!). Adventure. Romance. Speck. Simone. Dottie. Madame Ruby. It's all there.

I've got a copy of Breaking Away. Who owns Quicksilver? Triplets of Belleville? Rad? Any of the slew of messenger documentaries that no one can ever get a hold of?
