I'd leave that as a geared bike for sure

velofinds 07-31-15 08:42 AM

It's just a lower-end 'nago with a Shimano 105 groupset and Columbus Cromor tubes. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice bike -- but it'd make an even nicer FGSS. IMO.

Also, folks who grew up in the '70s bike boom era are more likely to use inches, since that was the common unit of measurement at the time, just like they're more likely to use phrases like "ten speed", "rat trap" (i.e., toe clips), and "turkey levers" (i.e., what they used to have before cross levers were invented).

Yes, American manufacturers definitely identified frame sizes in inches. And not just frames. Seat posts, handle bars, wheels and tires, pretty much everything.

Oh, and quill stem = goose neck.

I think it is just missing a floorboard.

Two things lead me the other way.

1. Brown drywall?
2. Carpet all the way to the drywall?

Dunno. I sure would keep it out of photos though.

Makino NJS Track Frame 58cm RARE Size Relisted | eBay

58cm Makino going for cheap. 55.5 top tube kinda short, 110 rear sucks but can be fixed. could be a deal for a commuter NJS frame

:p Well yeah. If I'm photographing something I want to sell, I'd want the pic to be attractive to help entice the buyer. I look at that and think, "If he treats his HOUSE that way, how well did he take care of the bike?"

They look nice but man you got to wrench them down so hard to keep them from slipping or coming free from brake chatter, etc.

Am I missing something here? Was this bike ejaculated by Jesus, himself? Is that why someone is expecting to get $2,300 for a used Cinelli? I mean, what year is that frame, 2010? 2011?

Not missing anything- from where I'm sitting, it's just the typical Craigslist seller shooting for the moon.

Let's see your bikes :)
