It's a fair price with the potential to talk down the seller.
Only thing to be careful of is the irreplaceable seatpost collar which is prone to cracking with age/ repeated use (via adjustment)/ repeated overtightening.

I've had no problems with the seatpost clamp on my 2006 Pista Concept, although I've only tightened it a few times and don't have a lot of seatpost sticking out. It's not necessary to tighten the bolt a lot to prevent the seatpost from slipping down.

I guess if they are built well and do the job.... despite looking like they were put together in a garage by a beginner

I owned one of those Griffen MMC frames for bit (though an older model). Not the prettiest frames, but what struck me was the ride quality. It felt like no other steel, alu, carbon or Ti frame I had ever owned. Even with a monostay the ride was surprisingly compliant without feeling noodly.

I have no idea as to why someone would put a carbon crank on that bike nor do I understand as to why you would completely stop riding a bike after an accident if you can get back on a bike. You fall, you have accidents, you get back up and do it over again. What a *****.

Oh I was just wondering what kind of bike you enjoyed working on the most for the job. Steel Or Aluminum, geared or fixed. Did you have a favorite bike during that time period?
