Oh I was just wondering what kind of bike you enjoyed working on the most for the job. Steel Or Aluminum, geared or fixed. Did you have a favorite bike during that time period?

Since you mention it, here was mine:
https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5528/...195d9afe_c.jpg Great bike. Gone but not forgotten. Yeah I really liked that bike. It was the only brand new, off the shelf bike I've ever bought. It was a great ride for work/city. |

Steel. I had an 80s Schwinn Madison, a Falcon road bike(fg), a Pinarello, and one of the *** metal grey Bianchi pistas...all fg. Always bullhorn. My favorite cranks back then we're those Doteks you could get from danscomp, any length, any chaining you wanted. They weren't pretty, but they were cheap and lasted long. 12$ GT bmx platform pedals with the reflectors popped off to take toe clips. That was my "set up" for dealing with Cleveland's awful weather, and worse roads for quite a few years. |

Why do you keep posting POS bikes? Post them in the jackass thread. I thought this thread was for bikes that are on CL worth snatching up not throwing up.
|

I actually really like that Gitane. Bonus is that the universal brake comes with the original gum hood and adjuster (even though they are kind of roached). I had to replace my Bianchi's Universal brake levers with cheapo Cane Creek hoods until a reasonably priced set comes up on FeeBay.

Not sure if this is legit or a serious WTF?

Seller has zero feedback rating and is Polish... just sayin'.

It's a tri bike, so seller is definitely 100% serious about everything.
