Hard to tell its condition from just the one picture, but looks like a good rescue. I'd get rid of the cantaloupe wheels straight away if it were mine.

You know most of these owners think long and hard about rim/tire color combos. It just makes me wonder if anyone has actually said, "Dude, you have Cantaloupe wheels" and they're like "oh..****..never thought of that" and they're all bummed out thinking it was some sick unique color combo.

Haha yea it is for sure a unique color combo. Thinking about changing up the color scheme. Liked that you used "cantaloupe" though lol. Overall is in great shape and I got it for $120. It needs a new chain and that is about all. Any suggestions for a chain?

I bought my bike used off craigslist and it had lime green wheels. I used Jasco paint stripper and removed the green....then built a wooden mount (that the axle could be threaded through) on an old camera tripod. I just spun the wheel and spray painted the rim....4-5 light coats. No runs, finish came out perfectly even, etc... That was 3-4 months ago and it's holding up fine still.

As for chains, I run a cheap Z410 but many like the K710SL.

Everything was smooth. Bought the stem on Thursday night and it came on Saturday I believe (it was shipped to Minnesota). That Suntour XC seatpost is calling my name haha, if only I had the money
