Just the possibility of laces in my gears..why? Anywho, I actually tried some Giro's on yesterday and none of them fit. My feet are too fat.

There's a little stretchy cord to tuck the laces into. Nothing to worry about. I love my giro laceups.

This. I think it might be called a shoe lace garage.

Since I've been riding through Waikiki a lot recently, I bought a bell. It's the same kind I had on my bike when I was a kid.

I just got tired of all the near misses from when tourists try to cross the street without looking and I'd have to swerve out the way to avoid hitting them.

It looks a little dorky, but it saves me from the aggravation.

Gotta do it on the MTB now. Every trail is packed with dogs, walkers, and hikers now. And the narrow access roads with their cars.

Guess I should be ashamed to admit that while I have no problem building a bike, have to admit that I get paralyzed over deciding bartape?

Among others - I've contentedly used cheap but durable Profile tape before and actually kinda liked it over some of the other silly stuff out there, but searched and can't find this?

Just wanted to double-check. hoping to find & like it, before getting spendy on something else...

Found it on eBay. I don't believe they make it anymore. I've used Profile tape once a long time ago and it was decent.

Work, Father's Day, life have conspired such that I might not get to ride them, a serious ride, for a couple of days. The initial feeling is that they are much smoother than my old wheels. A little luck and I will have more info soon.

How closely does the color of the tape match the sidewalls on the tires?

Not a good match at all. The tires are quite a light shade of beige and the tape is very similar to how the jpg looks on my monitor. And I expect both to darken over time from road and/or palm grit. The bike still looks keen, but not like an interior designer planned the build.

I've found that the tan Salsa bar tape matches the gum walls of the Paselas pretty closely.
