Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Craigslist find, worth it?

Campania 54cm steel frame from the 80s. 700c deep V fixed wheel with a front brake. "okay shape" tires and "crappy pedals" for test riding.

How much would this be worth?

I cooked some eggs for breakfast, with spinach and maybe toast. How delicious do you think it is?

It is worth what someone is willing to pay. You need to post more info or some very detailed pictures if you want a better assessment. Your description isnt enough to go off of.

It is a bare bones bike. I would say no more than $200 max for it. I just dont see anymore worth to it than that

To that one person it is worth that, but a transaction involving one item, one buyer, and one seller does not establish a fair market value. (it's a statistically meaningless sample of prices)

(this is a pet peeve)

True. It just looks like a very low end bike-boom bike and the crank could be anything.

I wouldn't buy that. Conversions are something you throw together from spare parts in your parts bin, not bikes you invest in.

Spinach goes really well with eggs, fried and a bit runny...

I had a college roommate who would cook eggs, spinach and boiled potatos when it was his turn for dinner. We all like it a lot.

As for the bike, it might ride pretty well. Have the seller throw in the front brake and offer $125. At that price, I might give it a go. The OP will still need to add proper pedals, as well bar plugs/tape to suit his preferences. But you know...the frame might be a sleeper...
