Affordable Seatpost?

I can't buy a thompson

What's a decent seatpost that:
can adjust seat angles
has to come in black
27.2mm
Under 55$
Ships to Canada

How's this?

Do you need a zero setback seatpost ? Otherwise, that looks like a good deal and I prefer two bolt adjustments like that one has. Also, I've bought from Abaxo before, and they always have the best pricing and are reliable.

I wanted a seatpost with lots of set back and two screw adjustment. I got one from Velo Orange. Forget the price but you might take a look. They have various models with different set back.

gonna jack this thread for a minute. Any good (aside from thompson) "affordable seatposts" in 26.8 (kilott)? I'm looking for some better adjustments than the stock one, not trying to lose any bike weight.

Are black 27.2 seat posts really that hard to find?

Bikes: are all mine

MEC was mentioned several times - what don't you like about their seat posts? Or go up the street to urbane and get kalloy or uno for pretty much same price

I got a MEC post like I linked because it was the only one in 26.8mm diameter that was in stock within an hours drive from home. It's been on my MTB for a year with no issues.

These really are the best thing since sliced bread. I got one of last year's closeouts for $30.

Looks like MEC has 'em

Bikes: officially too many now...

Every shop better stock a $20-30 27.2 post. Most common size. We had a whole pile of them in black or silver, normal or super-mtn-long. 20 bucks.

Just snagged a 27.2 Thomson off ebay for just about your price.

Keep an eye out for them, you can find them.

I like the Kalloy Radiused head one for looks but they are a pain in the *ss to adjust with the single bolt.

That Race Face looks really nice too.

my favorite ebay posts: USE Alien carbon or alloy. ~160g in 27.2 and typically sell for less than a 200g Thomson Elite.
