Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Here is a forthcoming Laek House sample as the site is stuck in a time vacuum.

Notice that the proper leg is rolled up this time. What attention to detail! Yes I do wear glasses! ahHA!
The door in both images is a right side door ("passenger's side").
Driver's doors are the real killers.

Stencil template and resulting shirt below.

Yah, shes great! She had a bit of a bash-up on her old bike and she was gracious enough to let us shoot her. I just need to tweak the door northward a bit...
I'm the dude on the posenger model, and while I've definetly ended up on a hood in a my day, I've been lucky with doors. 'sides the next shirts are probably going to be more obtuse, but worry not! Thats spam for another day!

true, but it would look weird that way and (for what its worth) people can park on both sides of the street 'round here.

Bikes: Various by application

I like it

but generally the cyclist lossees that battle. I remember a little while back an uproar when Volkswaon ried to promote the structural integrity of their cars/doors with ads featuring a cyclist about to hit a door i.e. you don't need to worry if you door someone, they won't damage your door. It got pulled, and quickly.
If i were to be doored guess i would prefer a classic beetle to most others, unless a Geo metro or some french cars could be arranged. no ones ever managed to get me though (knocks head on wood)

OT, but if I were to be doored I'd prefer one of those old "suicide doors", bad for the car passengers, but not so bad on the cyclist, heh.

Bikes: Univega - fixed conversion

When I got doored I wound up with a tacoed wheel and a heroic case of road rash. My only consolation was that the impact caused the door hinge to rip through the front driver's side quarter panel. If the door had actually come off I would have felt like I won ... but that time I think it was a draw.

My dad once slammed my fingers in the hinge side of a Ryder box truck. That sucked.

Not when the fare gets out of the cab in the middle of the street. I swear to god the hacks tell 'em just the right time to open the door.

Winning is hitting the windshield hard enough to completely shatter it. I left, he didn't. Of course, my shoulder still hurts from time to time more than a year later... And this is off topic.
