has anyone used these guys before? some of the bikes look like they could make nice fixies, but I haven't heard anything about them. Have you guys heard about these guys? good or bad?

What's really wrong with this? They deliver, they guarantee (though it's only for exchange
) and they are a local service. What if they had shop services too?..would this work only in suburbia?
That 25" Schwinn Traveler has me thinking to look for one...I'm about 6'3" and I'm starting to dream of a "Big Boy" steed to match my lankiness.

I've met the proprietor... a nice guy. They buy bikes out in the suburbs on the East Coast (Pennsylvania someplace, if I recall correctly), where one can actually find bikes at garage sales and whatnot on a regular basis, and rehab them for sale in the city. Yes, they're a lot more expensive than you could get the sme quality bike out in the suburbs if you could get there yourself... but how many New Yorkers can and will go to such lengths?

i bought a schwinn supersport from him last fall. john is a really nice guy and will do repairs on the bike as long as you own it. i had a wreck my first week on the thing, trashed my front wheel and he outright gave me a replacement, a mavic rim laced to a specialized hub. most of the bikes he has seem to be kind of over-priced junkers, but i felt fine about giving him $150 for the supersport, it's in mint condition. his deal is he has a shop in penn. somewhere and drives into the city on weekends to deliver bikes that have been ordered online.
