Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: unknown road conversion, half built Benotto track

Did someone put something in my coffee this morning or has Bikeforums been hacked?

Edit: I realize it is April Fools and all but this is pretty annoying.

Some folks took it really personally, never quite figured out what was going on, and there were some resignations from the forum.

Here's what they said in the road forum:

"Just returned from the BMX fourm, they have not even noticed. The Fixed guys are treating it like unwanted pedestrians and just going around it. The Touring fourm is waiting for the support van to save them, the MTB "dudes" are hucking over the Walama and the Mechanic's fourm thinks they can fix themselves."
