Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Ha, thanks. I'm actually not thrilled with the way it looks right now with the mismatched wheels -- brake wear sucks.

I think I'm through with black or anondized rims.

Tough crowd.

It's also conceivable that heavy locks are just left there all the time.

+1 to this. Before being able to bring my bike into my office, I would leave a heavy chain lock on the bike rack 24/7. Mini U-lock and a small cable for on the go.

Both of my U locks are at work on the rack waiting for me when I get there.

+ 1 on a hell of a find. I'm with you. Brake wear bugs the living s*** out of me on a black rim.

They need to make a soft velcro cover so you can wear the chain like a bandoleer comfortably across your body.

Have a row of bullets printed on the front (like an old Mexican bandido) or Chewbacca's bandoleer design.

We heard you like locks, so we put a lock on your lock so you can lock while you lock.
