I haven't been to Conway in a couple of years, but the last time I worked down there two things stuck in my mind, one was the traffic, especially in the summer months was a major PITA and when are they going to fix the roads. As far as cycling if you head out of town to the south you can hit some fairly decent roads, but you will be in the swamps and at the mercy of redneck pickup drivers. To the east (more or less) you get into the sprawl of Myrtle Beach which I don't consider to by cyclist friendly at all.

Good Luck with your relocation and let us know what you find.

Aaron

Ride inland; the closer you get to the beach, the worse the traffic! Carry bug repellent in the summer.
