35.5 miles today with beautiful weather Mileage this month 586 Mileage this yr. 586 Over/under riding days this yr. vs last yr. -Even Over/under miles this year vs last year -Even 30.8 miles average per ride this yr. 6414 miles needed to hit my 2011 goal of 7,000 Good day today, great weather. Temps were mid 60s to low 70s when I got back. I have equaled last years January numbers as of today. I think I will ride tomorrow so I can set a new January record. The weather man is calling for high 60s to low 70s and no rain. This is great riding weather. |
Another awesome spring-like day. Temp was 62 when I left home. :thumb: Third day in a row I could ride without the need for lots of layers. :beer: Is spring right around the corner?
I was tired from riding in the wind on Friday and Saturday so only did 28 miles. But it was a good 28 miles. :) |

We took the mountain bikes out yesterday to the Sunnyhill Restoration area down near Moss Bluff. We rode the levee trail for about an hour. That's about as much as hubby can take pain wise since his surgery. Beautiful day and lots of folks out on horses. We started on the south end this time and road north. I was going to ride one of the trails that connects to Rice Creek (St. Johns water management land) the other day but the weeds/grass were just to HIGH... |

Yep, Got out for a ride today... Got dropped off at the post office after running round a bit. Rode the road bike today. A bit over 21 miles if I include the last half mile walk on the sandy roads to my house. Pretty windy again today but most of the time it was a cross wind. I didn't like it much a few times when the wind gusted and started pushing me sideways.... NOPE didn't like it at all :P Nice day for a ride.... and a nice ride today .... :D

Temps were mid 60s to low 70s when I got back. The wind was 14/20 on the return trip. It really put a hurtin on me. I was riding with 2 other younger riders and that didn't help either. The weather man is calling for rain the rest of the week I hope I can get out. Linda photos look good nice bike rack in the truck. |

I'm in the middle of the move that never ends, so riding is taking a back seat. I'm not sure of miles etc right now but, they are fairly low.
I did a race in DeLeon Springs, FL on sunday and got 13th after being dropped on the "hill" in the first lap. I didn't ride on monday. I had one of my bikes at the shop, so I rode that home yesterday. I missed the morning ride this am but, I did commute to and from today. That was about 13 miles in 45 mins. |

I just might be in Lake Mary, we'll see. For some reason I thought that was further south but, it's not too much past Deland.
I do think that I prefer road races to crits, however, I've only done one crit at Nocatee and slipped out the back with only a few laps to go. If someone hasn't tried or seen crit racing, its like nascar for bicycles, fast and fun. I'm still thinking about doing G'ville on sunday. They are using the raceway's road course, which should be cool. No ride this am... just rain. |

Temps were low 60s to low 70s when I got back. The wind was not bad today I had some wind love on my back on the return trip. droobieinop, I plan on being at the LM race but as a spectator only. The Gainesville race sounds interesting, good luck if you go. |

Even Over/under miles this year vs last year + 9 31 miles average per ride this yr. 6291 miles needed to hit my 2011 goal of 7,000 Weatherman called for 30% chance of rain but it didn't arrive until about 5 this afternoon. Wind was from the SSE at 12/24 mph so the return ride was a little tough. With about 6 mile to go I stopped at a LBS and bought a new Jo Blow floor pump as my 30 yr old pump bit the dust this morning. |

It was a little cool today (43 at the start of the ride and 49 when I got home) but I managed to get in 28 miles. I'll be glad when warm weather returns. The cool temps have kept my average speed down (because of all the layers??) and my mileage is way down. :o

It was supposed to be 30-40% chance of rain today and I didn't think we'd be able to get out. Decided to get some accounting done in the AM and then head to the gym to spin. Luckily the weather improved and we headed out to the Withalchochee Trail in the early afternoon. Started in Holder and rode to the north end and back. A little chilly and we did start getting a fine mist a couple of times. Nice 14.5 miles

Got in 17 miles on Sunday afternoon. Headed into midtown through the old fourth ward, part of my commute route, then headed west on 10th through GA Tech, then picked up Marietta St. and came through downtown and back towards home. Good grief I wish they'd fix Edgewood already. What a hot mess. Also, I may have gotten a contact high from people "enjoying the weather" and one Mazda in front of me full of people enjoying some herbal refreshment. At least it was in front of me where I could keep an eye on it. Sheesh.

Even Over/under miles this year vs last year -4 30.8 miles average per ride this yr. 6261 miles needed to hit my 2011 goal of 7,000 Weatherman called for 60% chance of rain but we had a clearing from about 10 AM to 4 PM so I took advantage of it. Wind was brutal on the return trip SSW at 18/35 mph so the return ride was a little tough. The rest of the week is supposed to be clear but cool. Should be some good riding weather. |
