Falls Church police bikes on Route 50?!
Does anyone know what the heck happened today on Route 50 in Falls Church, around 1PM? I was waiting at a light between Prosperity and Gallows and some motorcycle cops stopped traffic in intersections while about 50 other cops rode eastward down Route 50 on their bicycles.
I couldn't come up with a good guess for what they were doing. Evacuation exercise? Preparation for Bike to Work Day? Fitness test? I saw a trailer that said "Sully Bike Team". I think. My friend thinks he saw a McClean PD sign somewhere but I just saw the motorcycles and police t-shirts.
