Tammany Trace Slidell LA
This is a fairly long rails to trails route in Slidell LA. Have any of you ridden it? If so, tell me about it.

I've ridden it when I lived in NOLA a decade ago, and we often rode out to the Abita Brewpub. Back then, I wouldn't want to use a road bike, but it may be paved now...

The Trace is a decent ride, nothing real exciting but a nice path for traffic free ride. Now that the bridge in Lacombe is open it is possible to ride from Slidell to Covington without getting on HWY 190. Most group rides start at the caboose or old Mandeville and head north to Abita. Once in Abita there are lots of nice back roads with low traffic and varied terrain.
