Smoke rolled in heavy today. That combined with the heat.... I'll pass... Yesterday it was awesome almost NO smoke the whole 30 mile ride.

No ride today. Rain in the vicinity so the wife and I are headed up to Highlands, NC. Haven't been there in quite a while.

No ride today. Had my MRI and having to keep my knee straight and still for 35 minutes didn't feel good. It doesn't like to be perfectly straight. Took some Aleve and now I'm watching a Netflix movie.

I was planning on riding today but the wife said we're going to the Sunflower Festival. So some friends came over and off we went. Had a good time, bought some artsy-farsty stuff, ate lunch at the Yesterday Cafe in Rutledge and came home. Riding is definitely on for tomorrow.

Feeling under the weather all day... Stomach bug or something. It has been raining for about 4hrs, so if i would have rode it would have been in the rain anyway. BUT we need the rain so that part is GREAT!

I had all of these plans to ride today..... I swear I did!!! Was going to get up and do another morning test ride on the touring bike. Was going to go pay my house insurance in town. Go to the Goodwill (yes I go to the Goodwill, find good stuff sometimes). LOL Figured hey got me a trunk bag now I can buy stuff. The both friends said "you better get some waterproofing stuff to spray on the bags before you get them all dirty)... Grrrrr so then I got all sidetracked and didn't go for a ride on any of my bikes.. LOL

Ironically I had two things that I was sort of obliged to do, but were in the way of each other. Either do homework or go ride my bike in this heat... ended up ditching both!

nope, did get some riding in over the weekend. Took the mountain bikes with us when we went camping. Ended up riding around Rodman Dam out in Ocala National forest. Rode about 10 miles. HOT, HOT, HOT. But, best thing was afterwards we went in the springs (Salt Springs) to cool off. Total miles for the weekend...only about 17.

One of these days when I can con the one friend into riding, well this ride is his idea... but anyway.... A couple of months back he went through the locks in his boat... And he got to talking to the lock operator and mentioned that we were there one day and wanted to cross over the locks with our bikes but could not find the operator to let us across. So the operator asked if he was a member of the Florida Trail association (i think that its it).... Anyway Hugh said yep (not really a member yet, but thinking about it). So the guy gave him the gate code to unlock the gate so we can cross the locks. Now my friend keeps mentioning that he wants to do the ride from State Road 20 west of Palatka to the locks and across.... BUT... we haven't done it yet... DOH!
