LOL & Potato land west.... A1A South of St. Augustine is nice riding. (I haven't really been north). State road 207 or 206 heading from the beach towards Palatka is nice. I used to ride a loop of a1a , 206 & 207..

This is about the best options for the St. Auggie area. A1A south to inlet is ok.... right now the 2nd & 3rd bridges before Marineland are under construction and the two lanes of traffic is all that is alloted during construction. Makes for interesting pass-over if you've got traffic trying to go around you on the bridge!! Beware riding solo on 214 or 13, no bike lane and yahoo drivers make for a dangerous combination. There is a group ride that rides out on those 2 roads and does well with a group, Not sure if I'd adventure it solo..

Ahhhh I didn't know about the construction on the bridges.... I haven't been out that way in 3 or 4 months..
Reminds me of a time when I was crossing the bridge by Matanzas inlet. They were cleaning one side of the bridge at a time so only had one lane open. Nothing dangerous so the worker at the bottom of the bridge said go ahead and cross just stay inside of the cones. (not in the lane that was open). I got to the top of the bridge and was stopped by another worker who was all pissed off and yelling at me "why are you on the bridge" .. I mean the guy was really mad. I'm like "the worker down there said for me to go". He tells me "you should NOT have listened to him"..... I didn't get loud or anything but said something like "well if you want me off the bridge I need to get going".. It was just one of those weird experiences...
