test rides and real rides are different things.... and I'm still mad you didnt invite me to come along! I spent some $$ in chain reaction because I was too cold to ride with what I had with me!

Dont blame me. You should have called if you were not riding. Last I heard you were riding so do blame me woman. I was over that way for a bit too. Im really more concerned about fit. I already laid into some corners faster then I should have so I know its fine. Oh and just for the record, Ultegra brake pads do not compare to Dura Ace pads.;)

I was riding but not for very long... didn't even start until noon  so yes, I do blame you ;) I love my dura-ace... although, the ultegra/dura-ace combo on the roubaix is pretty nice too....

OMG! I was freezing when I got into the shade! I had a long sleeve/fuzzy jersey a heavy jacket, long pants, wool socks/toe covers, and a headband on and I was barely comfortable in some spots... of course, climbing up mt eden, I was pretty toasty...

... oh and full fingered gloves....

BigSean 12-08-07 10:27 PM

It was 50 some odd degrees, why were you wearing all that?

There was some extra chill in the air and I was just cold! Like I said, when i was going up mt eden I was toasty but in the shaded/moist areas, I was cold... I probably could have had either my wind breaker instead of the heavy jacket or a regular jersey instead of the long sleeved one... but I started out chilled and so I overdressed! (but not by much!... I'm cold blooded - it took an hour in a hot bath for me to thaw out after last december's ride )

There's plenty of fixed/fixed hubs out there.
