Purchased a bunch of cold weather gear at REI the other day: Novara leg warmers and skull cap and an Under Armor long sleeve form fitting coldgear shirt along with a Cateye EL500 headlight and rear blinker, clif bars (cool chocolate mint goodness), and finally an REI membership.
Then just yesterday since www.nashbar.com is having their "3-day 20% off on orders over $75 sale" i couldn't resist purchasing some Adidas Durango MTB shoes (yes for my road bike so i can start using it to commute and for my future plans to build a cyclocross bike), more lights (Cateye EL530 and LD1000 combo for $75), some Minoura mounts (swing grip and fork mount, gotta put the lights and computer somewhere), another jersey (i'm tired of having to constantly wash my single jersey), and a triathlon calendar for my brother in law (christmas gift). :D |

Just picked up my bike from SCC. It received some TLC there... it's so shiny, sparkly pretty, it's purring! Got some toe warmers while I was there, too. No more numb toes!!!! :D

I bought two dresses today...for the party...that counts as a cycling related purchase, doesn't it? :o
|
I wanna see!!! Where'd you go? You know, so we don't end up wearing the same thing like we usually do! :p

Okay...you have a pm. :)

Time to fix my son's Trek 3700.
I need a rear derailleur, hanger and chain. The derailleur that was on it is Shimano Acera. Do I just get that one again? Are hangers specific to the derailleur? What kind of chain? Help a clueless girl out, please. :o |

Help a clueless girl out, please. :o Acera is their lowest end Mt Bike deraileur. skip the Acera and go to a Deore LX. very inexpensive, and pretty good. You need not go to an XT or higher, the bike just isn't to that level. At the same time put a new chain on!! ( the other chain is pretty much bombed out). |
