Anyway, I wish you a speeding recovery from those scrapes and bruises!

That part makes me cry...

I look strange in the mirror. I try to ride w/ arm warmers as often as possible to limit the tan on my arms. Sunblock only does so much

merider, there's a story behind that. Somewhere... buried in the road forum... from early 2006. Fixer was planning to use me as his personal SAG wagon and snack on my scabs.

Oh... here we go... see posts 4, 10, and 13 in this thread.

No, no scabs formed, so Fixer didn't chase me for my scabs. Too bad for him since the burn was from hot acetic acid, so the scabs might have been nicely flavored with vinegar. (vinegar = 95% water + 5% acetic acid)

Scab jokes aside, it'll heal a lot faster and scar significantly less if you don't *let* scabs form.

If you haven't already, Nosra, look in to Tegaderm. That stuff rocks.

Though being a fireman, and I'm assuming also a medic (Aren't most fireman trained as EMTs at the very least?), you probably already know about all that sorta stuff.

I believe he is a medic. I remember him telling me of numerous car accident scenes and so on that he helped out at.

Yup I'm a medic and yes I have found Tegaderm. However, putting a large chunk of adhesive tape over the wound is... well.... It's just a tough thing to do!

Update.... The riding partner that I crossed tires with and crashed, Ribbed me all day after the crash. Do you believe in karma? Well - yesterday while playing basketball, because I didn't ride, he broke his ankle - out for a couple of weeks. Poor guy...
