Need some advice, please.
Currently I have a Specialized Allez Elite Pro (105 Group) I was going to wait to get the 2007 Specialized Tarmac Pro, but Surf City Cyclery having a sale on the 2006 model. Should I wait for the 2007,or get the 2006? Any advice is appreciated.

Better carbon for 07, but the 06 is a great bike. If the sale is a good one Id say go tfor the 06, if only a few hundred bucks get the 07. Should be a good $800 off msrp.

Dont know you can even tell the differane. Sounds like a decent price. I know the people that have the 06 love em, so Id say go for it. The new carbon is almost the same as the 06 s-works frame, so maybe a little bit lighter and maybe a bit stiffer.

$700 difference? I'd probably get the '06. If you really cared to spend the difference, $700 buys a really nice wheelset. Do make sure you really like it in a careful test ride first, of course.

Test ride both of them. Test ride them repeatedly if necessary. (If they're at the same place, great. Go back and forth between them, with the bikes identically set up.) Make sure the positioning is set up right for you so that you're testing the bike, not the fit. (Same saddle height, same reach, same amount of drop.) Pick based on which one you more enjoy riding.
If one of them has a nice, lively feel and confident handling without beating you up, and it doesn't show any undesirable characteristics, that's the one you want. Make sure you like it uphill, downhill, through rough patches of road, and through turns. In the saddle and out of the saddle. If both of them show undesirable characteristics, keep shopping. When spending that much, you should expect to be completely happy with your bike.

Assuming they fit the same, I'd go with the '06, but I'm cheap. Whenever I've bought new "new" bikes, I think I've always gotten one that was the previous model year but still in the shop. You can save some $$ and still get a fine bike.

I have Ultegra on my bike. As Jason mentioned, which ever is a better fit, and comfortable for you. Felt make a nice bike also. Dura Ace is nice, but you wont notice the difference.

DO you want compact of standard crank? Otherwise the bikes are identical except for the 6r and 8r carbon frame. Personally I save the money and try and get them to swap cranks to compact at no extra charge.

I thought the standard was 52 and 42 no?

If the 07 is s'posed to bit a lil lighter, I'd go with the 06 on sale.
You know when they start trying to go lite, they screw things up!
