O.K., you talked me into it. See you at 7:30. The other ladies are starting from the Commons at 8:00 because they want to avoid joining the P.U. ride.

I'm still holding out hope for a change (forecast seems to change daily), but if the rain sticks around Saturday, anyone up for long-ish ride on Sunday instead?

This Saturday 8 SFVBC members are going to San Luis Obispo via Amtrak and riding back in 5 days, (with side trips). They include Deb, Orrie, Vicki, Cathy, Tom, John, Joel, and me. Got the touring bike loaded and I can't wait!

Saturday, if there's time, a short ride around SLO, Sunday a loop up to Morro Bay and back to Pismo. Monday Pismo to Solvang via Foxen Canyon, with a Drum Canyon option. Tuesday to Carpinteria and Wednesday home.
My friend Mike has done these routes many times and knows the best roads. He also has a program in his computer to create route slips and was kind enough to make us some cool slips, along with color maps.

I'm all packed up and ready to go, except I can't decide on what shoes to bring. All my shoes are too heavy and I hate flip flops. I was thinking of not bringing any extra shoes and just wearing the bike shoes with cleat covers. Is that going to work or I'm I going to walking around barefoot.

Sorry, no laptop. VG, do you want me to bring a handlebar bag for you? It's not very big, but you can carry some stuff in it.
