I've heard of it, is there a question?Local Trail? MTB or paved?
There is a short bike trail from Mills and Baldy Rd to Towne ave. Not really a trail you "get going" on.
Other trails for mtb start at Mills and Baldy Rd. Claremont HIlls Wilderness Trail.Main loop is 5 miles with about 2,000 ish feet of climbing in the first 2 1/5 miles. At the top, ther is a single track trail that goes down into Marshall Cyn in LaVerne. Or you can head up to Potato mtn. 7-10 miles up, maybe 4,000 ft of climbing. But lions have been spotted up Potato mtn.

i was just wondering if you ever went up... i went up there on saturday and it was a pretty good ride but it got pretty intense at some parts like really steep and ruts that were up to 1 ft. deep, i think you would need at least 5 inches of travel in some parts, i reccomend it if you like bombing down hills.

I went once after a rain, hit a big rut( 1 foot deep, about 5 ft wide, wasn't going fast enough to make the jump) at 24mph, front suspension went down, endo'd into a bodyslam. Cracked my helmet from back to front on some hard packed red clay stuff. DH skills suck and so does bleedding!
When I go, I do 3 loops on the main trail. Went up to Potato mtn, was nice overlooking the whole valley.

Trek 8000. Supposed to be race ready, but I think it depends more on the rider!
