Would you wear pink pants while you were living in Rhodesia?

In 1890 wasn't everything either dingy gray or brown? They didn't have Tide (TM) back then.

Ignore the critics, Max. You did a very nice job. I'd give you the "beer" cheer, but you're too young to drink and I think that would be inappropriate. So, I'm giving you instead!

It's a good skill to have. It was very rewarding to rescue a lot of our old family photos, and I had a tremendous amount of fun doing it. And not just the old, torn up, grainy black+white ones... even the color snapshots from just 20-30 years ago, just color correcting them made a huge difference.

It's a joke - when he bought out catalogs of old films, Ted Turner started to convert old black & white movies to colorized versions. It was hotly debated at the time and he took a lot of heat for "ruining" films that should have been kept as they were created.

I've got a friend in Boulder that can hire you for $15/hour to retouch photo's of quilts. He actually offered it to me but I told him that unless he was also willing to give me free room and board and a car, the cost of living difference wasn't that extreme.

Yes, he works for a company that publishes a quilting magazing. We never tire of making fun of him for this.
