Yeah, that's what I wanted to say too. "Buy what you want!" is for sure. The "buy it once" part doesn't make any sense.

Ooooooh.. the plot thickens.

BFer Gretzky (Greg) put me in touch with Surf City Cyclery and they have built-up 48 and 44 Rubys in stock I can ride, so I can compare the fit side-by-side. Both have 700 wheels (Sorry, George). And the S-Works Ruby frameset has identical geometry, and comes in both sizes. And they sound like they're willing to make a deal. To be continued on Saturday...

Thanks Tiff.

I dunno if this is a sign or not, but when I was looking at the frame, a "name" popped into my head. That hasn't happened before with other bikes/frames I looked at.

If bike frames are introducing themselves to you in your head, I'd suggest staying away from sharp knives.

Last time I was in there and said " Brandy says HI", all I got was a "who's brandy?"

Sweet! Congrats! I'm assuming the 44cm. Did you get the 'module' or the whole bike? (Sorry, I'm new to BF so I haven't read the entire thread yet).

I visited Sean at Surf City Cyclery and once I found out that Specialized only had two of the 44cm modules left in the country I thought I should act fast. I took a built-up bike for a spin and loved the feel of it. (Who wouldn't?! ) Nice guy. Cool store. Thanks for the help, Greg!

Here is Sean adjusting the seat for me:

Here I am taking off:

Well, he showed me his road rash first so we're even.
