Dubbayoo,

What time of day are you riding? I almost never hit head winds in that area first thing in the morning (except during the winter right after a storm).

When I do hit headwinds, it normally starts right around Golden Cove while I'm heading north towards Lunada Bay. I generally travel through that area around 7:30 to 8:30am. on Sundays.

(took yesterday off from my usual round trip around PV and rode 101 miles to Ventura County Line and back).

I rarely hit any headwinds in the morning, either.

Afternoons are a different story... all parts of the South Bay get windy after midday.

Do you guys still do this ride? And does it have one of those "food-snack" names attached to it?

Isn't this a 1-time organized ride from last June?
