My biking tan is coming along very nicely, thank you.

Psydotek 06-25-07 01:27 PM

I'm coming closer to that every day i ride... My arms/hands/shoulders for sure. Working on my legs still. :D

I even have the dot on the hand from the gloves.

Check.

I would like to go to the beach this summer. I suppose it might look odd to show up in road kit but the alternative might be worse.

Got to love that dot. But what about your fingers? My fingers are tan from the tips back to where the glove ends.

VanceMac 06-25-07 01:38 PM

I'm kind of bummed that my new bibs are a tad shorter than my all my previous ones... my crisp thigh line is now more of a half-inch transition. I'm digging the glove hands.

Yup, got those, too. When I got home from the Grand Tour, darker than I left, and darker still due to all the dirt on my legs, my wife again commented on my tan. She finds it to be very humorous, especially the hands and the ankles.

DaveSANYYZ 06-25-07 01:47 PM

My arms and legs are like that too. The finger tans are starting to develop, but they're not as noticable.

WhiteCarbonDude 06-25-07 02:19 PM

It's funny when people look at my hands and ask "what do you do for a living?" Then they look at my forehead and say "are you feeling ok?" As there are 4 tan spots on my forehead that look like, I don't know, one person even said I looked like an AIDS patient:eek:

Rick@OCRR 06-25-07 03:54 PM

Yeah, my wife thinks my tan is funny too. "Why don't you mow the grass without a shirt on to even it out?" she asks.

"What?" I reply, "And ruin my perfect cyclists tan!"

Best Regs,
Rick / OCRR

Just think when the gloves used to be a mesh, and they look at your hand, and think you are diseased ...

Go_Fast 06-25-07 06:58 PM

my hands are so white i feel like i'm wearing white gloves.

My main gloves are still mesh...

I love the Frazz comic in general.

Just as an observation, but Jef Mallett worships at the altar of Bill Watterson...except for the ironic racism, that gag has been done a few times on Calvin and Hobbes.

/too serious for this thread? I are serious cat.

I am trying to get rid of mine. I make a point to do 1/3 of my ride time without a glove.
