Yes they do on the Wildflower and Lighthouse - this ride is actually organized by the Ventura Kiwanas (sp?) who also do a great job. The fire is very unfortunate - this is my favorite ride of the year and I would hate to miss it. That being said - I may just do a shorter ride and give the century up until next year.

It is cooperative between CI Bike Club and Kiwanis. The Kiwanis handles the registration and rest stops. The CI Bike Club handles rest stops, the route, and the SAGgers.

Actually I do all the planning, organizing, permits, food shopping. I lay out the routes, paint the arrows, do the entire sag. I handle the registration, I designed and hand stitched each jersey. I even pedal a generator to keep the Popsicles cold.

M.E., I know you said your out because of your asthma, but with the recent improvements in the conditions because of the onshore winds, it looks like it will be a great day, with no ash or smoke in the air over the century route. I think you should reconsider, it has the potential to be a great day and a great ride.
Besides if once you get started it looks like there is an issue, you could ride to the Summerland Cafe and have a great breakfast and return to Ventura, a nice little 50 miler.
If you get to Ventura, and it doesn't look good, it is just a short drive down the coast to Malibu, then you could spend the day in the Santa Monica's climbing. As I remember you like to climb, is one of your favorite riding partners VB.
