hello
That's great Brandy! I knew sooner or later you were going fixed. You're gonna love your new Milwaukee. The first trick you must learn on your fixie is trackstanding.

Thanks George. Now that I'm getting the hang of it, I really enjoy riding FG. The hardest part for me is clipping back in once I have stopped at a light, but I'm getting better at that. I've perfected the slow roll to the stoplight and pray that it changes quickly maneuver.
The plan is train mostly on the FG through the fall/early winter unless I'm out for a climbing ride. I need to work on my spin.
Sorry for hijacking your thread dddave!

also, i went on my longest ride yet on it last night. only about 14 miles, but it was pretty decent. before that i had only done short trips to bars and such because i didn't have a brake on it. but now i do and i have a feeling my bianchi won't get used very much.

Also known as the "mistime it because of a janky three-way light and do a hilarious (to everybody but you) 0-mph fallover" maneuver.

If you do it right to should be hilarious to you too. Once you know you are going down, make the best of it by hamming it up. Flail and roll around more than you need to. Make a big production of brushing yourself off, straightening out, and glaring peevishly at any observers.

i have yet to fallover in public. i fell over in front of the stairs to my apartment because i couldn't pull my left foot out in time. at lights i don't even chance it. if i know i'm going to have to stop, i get my foot out early.
