One And Only: TEAM BEARCLAW Thread
Now that the road season has started, I'm sure you're thinking (in these exact words), "I wonder what's going on with the best cycling team the world has ever, and will ever, see... Team Bearclaw."
I'm glad to announce that Team Bearclaw has raced a total of 2 races; Mothballs & Red Trolley.
Most of you are probably assuming that the team swept the podium in both of these races, and you would almost be right in assuming so. The team WOULD have swept the podium if it werent for unexplainable, rare and unforunate mechanicals.
Check out the website HERE
First of all, you can go to the news section to read about what happened and why Bearclaw didn't sweep the podium in both races. Truth and absolute honesty is rare these days, and I am proud to say that all of the race reports are 100% honest, accurate and true.
You can also go to the "Results" page to see the upcoming races, predicted results and actual results.
The photo page is slowly being updated, but it's slow going, as most of the teams riders are under contract with various modeling agencies, which makes it difficult for Team Bearclaw to get permission to use photos that show their faces.
You can also use this thread to ask questions about the team, as I am sure there are many. Don't expect to get much information about the team owner, Chet Bearclaw. We really don't know enough about him... except that he stunt flys his private 747, is an avid volcano jumper, and has been known to race his private speedboat inspired yacht.

Team Bear claw has a nice decked out tour bus no? I've passed by it, and there's always tons of people waiting outside waiting for autographs and pictures with these guys. They are real nice guys they have their assistants sign autographs for them and as mentioned you aren't really allowed to take pictures of them. Nice guys.

As for numbers, I'll contact the CalTech guy and have him break it down to a mathematic equation for you.

...OR, you can prove to us that:
1. You wont talk about any classified information you may or may not find inside of the bus.
2. You're down to watch Nacho Libre several consecutive times.

Sweet! My kids will be thrilled to hang in your bus. See you at Brea tomorrow!

I want to know what the deal is with your bikes... it looks like they were custom painted?

Bearclaw sighting!
It was great to meet you today Jesse.

I made him take a picture with me.

Great work out there today! It was a fun race to watch.

She's smokin damn hot....
...BUT, George is cool and he's pretty damn manly. No luck for us.
It was good meeting both of you guys
The guys in the 1/2 race did really well, considering the field. Alejandro (whos a freak of nature) went off the front a few times to catch the Jelly belly guy (and also to look cool) but never was able to make it stick.
As for the bikes, they were custom painted by a guy named Chuck Morris (pretty badass name) who races Cross. They're not 100% done yet, they still need all the decals to finish it off. Underneath the paint, they're '08 Tarmac Pro's.
Team Bearclaw buying Rock Racing? There are rumors, yes. The same thing was going to happen last year, Chet was planning on buying Discovery, but realized that the caliber of the riders wasn't really what he wanted. There was also some talk with two guys from Toyota-United, but it never happened (if Ivan Dominguez ever comes back on here, he'll tell you what I'm talking about, haha) Apparantly, they wanted more than $100 per season, which Chet didn't think they were worth

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering why nobody from Bearclaw won in the P/1/2 race... well, it was another unfortunate mechanical (which led to another Mechanic being fired)
Story and photographic evidence will be coming soon.
