I prefer getting calories from solid food (fig bars, especially). But during events that are both long and hard, like the KOM rides, I find it difficult to eat enough. For those, I'll go with some Hammer Perpetuem, which is pretty bland/flavorless.

Gatorade on the longer rides. If it's less than 50 miles, only water.

Hammer products covers Heed which is palatable and Perpetuem, which is vile.
I use Heed and water.

That reminds me, Joel. Thanks for the extra half-bottle of Gatorade on Mulholland. Jason and I were pacing ourselves (and a little bit anxious) as we were running out of fluids on a warm day. It helped alot!

I use Hammer products because they're usually what's offered (as part of the entry fee) at most checkpoints on most doubles.
That said, I've used all of the other choices at one time or another. So, I could have voted for everything, but that would have been the same as not voting . . . so I just voted for Hammer (which I use the most of).

I love Dr. Pepper, too...not diet, though.
But as sports drinks go, I can't say that I've tried them all but I started using Cytomax years ago backpacking and it works for me on the bike, too.

I keep bouncing around between drinks (Accelerade, Gatorade Endurance), but currently am back to using Gookinaid Hydralyte.

It depends on the time of year and the event. If Hammer products are available on the longer & harder events I use their product. Most of the year, I use Powerbar's Endurance drink, not too sweet just right. Then during the period leading up to the Death Ride to acclimate my stomach, I use Cytomax, since they are a sponsor and they have Igloo water coolers premixed with them on the DR. You don't want to try a ride that hard, and have stomach issues with a new drink.

I occassionally drink gatorade, but I love Heed. It's no-flavor flavor works after 80 miles or so. Anything else is too sweet, unless I get a coke and cut it with water.

I have been using Heed and mix in a bit of protein powder.....
But recently I have been using CarboPro powder and CarboPro1200 liquid....
I really like them...no sugar taste just very mild.. and it never gives me cottonmouth later in ride that some of the other drinks do....
I mix a bit of protein powder in these as well and I am good to go....

HEED.....lightly flavored and seems to sit well with me. On Century rides, I've also used Sustained Energy, which I mix with a bit of hammer gel for flavoring.

Carbo Pro on long rides. I used the Sustained Energy that was provided on Butterfield, but I definitely prefer the Carbo Pro to that.

I was using the Hammer Heed, but have switched back to the Power Bar Endurance. Just works better for me, and has more calories.

I am not familiar with Carbo Pro. So I looked it up and it seems like something I want to try. I also saw Carbo Pro 1200. Do you have any thing to say about Carbo Pro 1200?
