Carbon Canyon?

Does anyone know about a fire in Carbon Canyon? I was supposed to ride out there tomorrow, but someone said there was a brush fire. Can't find any news on it. Anyone know? Thanks.

Haven't seen the new but we were at the Montclair Plaza and I could see smoke in Chino Hills. Looks like it was going pretty good. Not sure if it was Carbon Cyn exactly but there is a fire in the hills.

Carbon Canyon has burned many times. I believe Sean Penn's place up there burned twice. I drive up there frequently. Last time I was there was maybe a month or so ago. Frankly, I can't imagine there's enough mature chapparal left up there to have a wienie roast. Somewhat ironically, there's a fire station right at the entrance to the canyon. I'd go for it and enjoy the rugged rocky scenery. There's lots of it there. Keep going up PCH almost to Paradise Cove north of Pepperdine University and have lunch or dinner on the patio at Malibu Family Seafood. Keep your eyes open for dolphins near shore.
