If we left San Clem at 9:00 you'd have 20 minutes to ride 6 miles down to us. I do it a few times a week; it's mostly river trail and state park so no stop lights. Looks like you're out of excuses

Ladies and Gentlemen,
On the eve of this great ride, I'd like to recognize the resolve and determination of each and every one of you on this thread in planning and executing this event. Since many of you won't be coming back I'd like to take this moment to acknowledge that it will be my great honor to have ridden among you. I will truly be remiss if I don't get the opportunity for every single PPP rider to buy me a beer

Maybe Extort/volt/chimivee/cjbruin will be starting from Irvine?
As for the SD folks, some of us are starting from Oceanside, but will meet with the gang in San Clemente.

There is no formal Irvine ride as far as I can tell, unless some of you guys have been discussing it. I suggested riding from the Amtrak station because some folks wanted a longer route and most will be bringing the train back up.
The main meet up is in San Clem at 8:45.

I am starting from home and heading to either San Juan Capistrano or San Clemente (depends on if I get lost heading to the San Juan Cap train station...), but if my alarm clock malfunctions (as it always does) then I will drive to San Clemente to join in...

Nope. San Clemente > Carlsbad > San Clemente on bicycle machines. Unless someone's feeling saucy.

Where is the San Clemente start point? The coffee shop or the train station?

Eating pizza and having beer was a good idea. The bad idea was continuing to ride afterwards.
Thanks Steve! I didn't bring a camera, so I can't prove that those guys that don't ride bicycle machines were there, but they were.
