I do occasionally.
A friend of mine leads some nice food rides once a month, but I don't think she posts them publicly to MR anymore. It's a big invite list on FB.
I've been doing monday night cyclones the past month or so, and it's fun, and they're trying to get me to come out to trfkas.

yeah, but he's nice about it, at least on cyclones. He does cyclones as a warmup on his way to wolfpack...

Ha I did this nice ride out to the beach to hear Rikkie Lee Jones recently...
Ride With No Name now and then very nice ride, CICLE stuff, Spoke N Art rides in NELA, the "official" MNR ride, some others.
I thought I would see you at the Tour Da Arts ride in Santa Monica...

I seem to recall reading about that one someplace but I lost track of it. Between MNR, CICLE and FB rides a few are bound to get lost in the mix. I may go to the FMLY ride tomorrow night, since it will be the big end of summer blowout party/concert ride. Are you going?

I did the Dark Century a couple of months ago, which was posted up on MR. It was fun and a solid group. Some rides posted up on MR are party rides and others are not. Having that variety is what makes MR smarter than the average bear. Before MR started, most of what was happening on the pavement in SoCal was uptight seriousszzz roadiesszzz snobbitorium garbage. I rode with a couple of different bike clubs behind the Orange Curtain in 2005 and decided that ****ers looking down their noses at a full custom Campagnolo equipped Columbus Ultra Foco steel road bike from their lame cookie-cutter treks are not the kind of people I want to be around.

it's only because of Midnight Ridazz that I even began to take my bike seriously. Changed my life

Yeah I'm a Midnight Rida cat also... However I quickly grew bored of the party rides, however I still regulary goto as my friend she's still working on her strength
Yeah Just gotta know the groups and I find that silverlake, cyclones, racoons, wolfpack, trafkas to be good rides...

FMLY ride, never been. Not sure what I'm doing yet this weekend, but as fall rolls in I'm becoming more of a "day person" again...

I just started to go to Cyclones and TRFKAS and Sunday Night Raccoons, I used to always go to Bicykillers but now it's more like once a month. A lot of these rides (the rides I go to) have the same members so that makes it easy for me.

Bikes: Too many bikes, too little time to ride
MR is a good gateway drug into cycling for residents of LA. can't be doing party rides forever; many eventually become full-fledge roadies and/or lifestyle cyclists (e.g., commuters), but for some, the novelty wears off and they stop riding altogether.

I do Bicykillers on Thursday nights. Meets at 9 at the NoHo metro station and turns into a fast paced jaunt all over the place. Includes more climbing than the other rides. I hit TRFKAS too went I want to ride with guys who compare bulges at gas station stops .
