B and L sells almost exclusively specialized. If you like them, go with b and l. Nytro sells a wider variety and more "boutique" bikes. That said, if you want to buy specialized, I'd go with UC cyclery in la jolla. Friendlier group of guys. Why only b and l or nytro? Why not hi tech?

Not looking for a bike; just clothes and accessories. I won a gift card. The choice is Nytro or B&L...

As was already mentioned B&L deals mostly with specialized gear. If you don't mid using specialized clothes and accessories B&L isn't a bad choice. They may stock a few things by other brands, but not that much.
If you are looking for things by other brands I would get the nytro gift card.

If you're a triathlete, I'd go with Nytro.
B&L has a boatload of tri-stuff, but has more cycling-specific stuff too.
