vacation in Santa Barbara area - looking for bike and rides

I am coming next week to Goleta/SB on vacation.

I need to borrow or rent a bike, if anyone in the area has an extra size 52,53,54 let me know. Or a good place to rent from.

Any regular fast group rides?

Thanks!

I recommend the Gibraltar-camino cielo-painted cave ride
its about 40 mile loop with 4000 feet of climbing and wonderful views

Hey BB:

My local club, the Conejo Valley Cyclists, is doing their monthly Away Ride in Santa Barbara this Saturday, June 14. Here's a cut and past job on the notice email:

Here's the RWGPS route for this Sat.'s Orange Away Ride in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara-Montecito-Goleta-UCSB-Hope Ranch-Santa Barbara - A bike ride in Santa Barbara, CA

9:00am start at Stearn's Wharf: at the Dolphin Fountain
( State St. & Cabrillo Blvd.)

You can learn about how they categorize their rides on their website: CVC CONEJO VALLEY CYCLISTS |

Sorry I can't help with the loaner bike thing. I have a BMC I'm currently selling on eBay but it's a 60cm and that's a bit big for you...

Hope to see you there. I'll be the tall guy with the orange POC helmet and Pinarello bike.

I checked the map and I am staying 2 miles from Old San Marcos, so I can climb that every day before breakfast

Old San Marcos is a good ride. I believe the record (for up and down) is 18 mins!
