Swung by Jax on the way in to work this morning. Big turnout-News Media-CHP escort, and over a hundred bikes. Couldn't do the ride myself, had to get to work.

They can't officially charge her until they get her blood test results. I'm glad they held her for the full 48 hours without bail before releasing her, though.

Man, I didn't know you are fluent in so many languages. Now I know what you are talking about, but I'm not gonna say it because Cbad will smack me on the back of neck again.
Are you recovered from your own encounter with that dirty-you-know-what-I-call-him monster truck?

Still have a little bit of an East St. Louis pimp-step to my walk, but I'm riding again. Good thing too, because I'm 18 pounds heavier than I was this time last year. Looking forward to some fat-burning rides when we start having a little daylight after work.

I'm not fluent in many languages, just good at talking $#**.

I got stranded in Irvine in August 2012 on Culver (tire was cut all the way through by a razor blade). I found Jax after walking aimlessly for an hour. They helped me get back underway and make the 30 miles back home. There were three great young men working in the mechanics bay and they showed much empathy for my predicament.

Today is 1 year exactly since I broke my hip while riding. I wanted to at least make it to the memorial on SCR (Jax is much further). I had second thoughts since I would have to start in the darkness in 40 degrees air (hard for breathing).

I am not spooked to ride though, still did 50 miles later in the day.

Sounds like what she deserves.

However, experience, hindsight and cynicism suggest, no, demand, that we prepare ourselves for what her actual sentence will be...6 months suspended sentence and 5 years probation. She would only get something closer to the maximum if she killed another cager.

Even if she got the max, that seems like such a slap on the wrist for acting so recklessly and causing so much pain and suffering. Very sad.
