Buying a new bike

I am 51, looking for a carbon bike, but would like a little comfort. Has anyone had riding experience with Specialized Roubiax and the Cannondale Synapse? Which would you recommend?

Specialized Roubiax is a Very Sweet ride! Never been on the Cannondale.

I am just sulking that I passed up the following deal from Performance in Austin couple of weeks ago. They had a FUJI Team, full carbon, 105/Ulltegra for $1250. In addition it was 10% off due to grand opening, and I would have gotten another 10% off for team Performance membership, bringing the cost down to $1000. There are several new Performance shops opening, I would check them out.

I have a aluminum FUJI with carbon seastays/fork and love it. I am 63 and it is plenty comfty. But I should have bought the carbon for that price, a friend did buy one, really nice bike.
