Tandems on 'Tour of the Moon'
Did this event last weekend (based out of Grand Junction, CO) and had a blast. It was our second year doing it along with another tandem couple.
Seemed like this year there were about twice as many tandems as last year. Just curious if any of the BF tandem folks were there.
BTW, this event is very well organized with great signage and volunteers, well stocked aid stations, and a wonderful post ride lunch.

Seems like we put this on our "do" list but it passed us by. If we would have remembered, it still would not have worked as my tandem partner has been sick and off the bike 3 weeks now. Maybe next year!

We were out there. It was a perfect day for a ride and very well supported. We rode the first 40 miles with another couple that we know. They were on their green Paketa tandem and we were on our black Paketa tandem, maybe we saw you? What do you ride (I find that I notice bikes as much as people).
I also saw a couple in stars and stripes at the finish. I can only assume that they are very fast!

We ride a orange/red Meridian softride & had a gray Ortlieb pannier on the rack. I think I saw the green Paketa screaming by at one point -- if it was your friends they were really hammering and passing singles -- on an uphill section. Also saw the stars & stripes couple.
Last year we rode the 62 mile but this year we skipped that Fruita section - didn't find it interesting.
