What chainrings do people use on lightning cranks?
Curious to know what chainrings, brand and size, do people run on their Lightning cranksets. I am thinking of changing out our chainrings, to 36*52, but is not sure what might work well with the Lightning spider, size 110 bcd. I guess my thought is maybe Praxis chainrings, but wondered if others had different suggestions. Thank you.

Considering it is a Lightning, nothing less than Extralite is acceptable. CH-02 are 105 grams for both small 36 & large 52 combined.
Extralite's website has been buggy lately. A Google search will get you there.
Carbon-Ti are supposedly good. I don't have any experience with those, though.

plus one. Very well made and in my experience shift the best of any non oem rings, almost as well shifting as top end Shimano, which to me is the gold standard.

I guess I failed to consider this option when I built up our Dragonfly, which at 24 pounds was pretty much a weight weenie build. That said I think the extra 50-60 grams for The shifting and stiffness of Praxis rings was worth it.

To Merlinextraligh, does your Calfee Dragonfly have 130 rear spacing?
My tandem has 145 rear spacing and I have some issue with front derailleur setup. I can't really run the bike in the 50 and 12 tooth rear cog. This is one reason I am considering a move to 36 * 52 front chainrings. I am also thinking maybe I need a different front derailleur clamp.

The rear spacing 135 IIRC correctly. I’d have to measure or check the spec sheet to confirm
