Does it matter what bottom bracket?

Hey Gang

New to tandem bikes, but we need a new BB for the captain on our mid-2000s Cannondale T-1. We have the splined Truvativ cranks so I think I need something fairly special. The current BB appears to be a Truvativ Giga Pipe Team SL with 118mm spindle. I know this topic has been covered but I couldn't seem to find anyone taking about the Truvativ BBs. SRAM don't seem to be very helpful so does anyone know of any other vendors that will work?
- I have ordered a Truvativ lock ring tool so I can learn more about the current BB.

- too new here to attach photos, will try to follow up with some pics later

Give Mel at TandemsEast.com a call. He's likely to have the correct bottom bracket for your bike.

We have an '04 C-Dale with the ISIS Truvative cranks. The SKF ISIS bottom bracket is currently the long term leader for us. It has outlasted the Gigapipe, FSA, Origin8, and other versions of the ISIS BB.

Ah yes, looks nice. Thanks! We use SKF bearings for our dirt bikes
I'm guessing these are all cartridge and the bearings cannot be replaced.
